A Word from Allison:
2005 was my first time competing in figure. I have always been active in sports
and thought it would be a good time to try something new. The past year
entailed a lot of time spent at the gym, dieting, practicing posing and walking
around in high heels!
There are many people who have encouraged and supported me this past year to
compete in my first figure competition. Most importantly is my fiancé Michael;
not only did he help me with my training and dieting, he provided me with
continuous support. It was a nice feeling to have your best friend there beside
you at the gym, at home and then backstage. Next, would be my Mom. She is a
great source of inspiration and is someone who lets you know that whatever you
put your mind to, you can do. And of course Karl and Tanya ( Bare Necessities
Day Spa and Body Active ), who helped me prepare for the show and backstage.
It was a great experience and I look forward to the Figure Nationals in July
2006!
