A Word from Lee-Ann:
"Years ago I remember watching my father work out and I was always in awe of muscular physiques. In 1998, I lost 90 pounds and my passion for bodybuilding was refueled by someone I dated who had competed in 1998. Afraid to walk onstage in a bikini, in 1999-2000 I took up the sport of triathlon instead - winning Rookie of the Year and was ranked 3rd place female 20-29 in NS."
"The following year, I was ranked Nova Scotia's #1 female triathlete between the ages of 20-29. I was ranked 3rd the following year. I was starting to get burnt out by the combination of high volume of endurance work and my competitive nature (doing 15 races a year), so I decided to take a year off and train for a Bodybuildng show. For 4 months starting September 2002 (the Monday after my last triathlon of the season), I trained until January 2003 for the April 2003 NS Provincials."
"Now I am addicted to the sport of Bodybuilding. While someday I will return to Triathlons, and complete in the Ironman Canada, right now my focus is on the 2004 NS Provincials !! We'll see what 2004 will bring!"
